The three-toothed, flat spired snail is a threatened species, found only in the Cheat River Canyon at Coopers Rock State Forest!

Unfortunately, they love to live in the leaf litter of hardwood forests; the same hardwood forests that are normally timbered!
The Coopers Rock Foundation, in partnership with several other groups, has sponsored funding to determine whether or not a current logging project by Allegheny Wood Products is being done in violation of the Endangered Species Act, as they have not prepared an environmental impact statement regarding what steps they are taking to protect the snail.
